Our first trip was a quick, but fun trip. We only stayed overnight, more of a trial run as it were. But we did get in some good mountain biking before the rain started. And we got to see what it was like sleeping in the rain.

The site was nice, we were right next to the North Loop Trail. We started our adventure off by hitting the playground.
After the playground we hit the trails on our bikes. Kelley stayed at the camper because she had just had foot surgery. We planned to do a short ride, but you know how plans go. We ended up doing a little over 5 miles. I was proud of Kaden for making it that far. The trails up on Monte Sano are great, they have something for everyone. We ended up doing the South Plateau Loop which was great for us beginners.

Afterwards, since the rain was holding off, we had a chance to chill out in front of the fire for a bit.

After dinner, and some relaxification, the rain finally arrived. I passed the time by tethering my phone to my computer and watching tv via Hulu. Eventually we went to sleep to the sounds of the rain hitting the camper canvas. Kaden wasn't crazy about it at first, but I found it put me to sleep pretty quick.
We got up the next morning, and I put the camper up in a light rain. It was a short, but fun trip, and we are definitely planning on going back soon.
